I first met Morris Mills while I was living in Hattiesburg Mississippi. Morris was an aspiring soul singer with incredible vocal range that belied a depth of emotion that was seldom heard from his contemporaries. At the time Morris was writing some really good songs but it was difficult for him to find a space to do his thing and make a living doing what he loved. So he moved back to his home town of Chicago and started working. Here’s a video of him doing a show at Chicago’s Hard Rock Cafe with his band The Morris Mills Experience. . Check him out yall.
